The Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Lightweight knife is a remarkably sophisticated folding knife design that combines a compact size with full-fledged cutting performance. The unique shape of the handle and the textured index finger wedge comfortably fit all hand sizes for a secure, non-slip four-finger grip. The Dragonfly 2 takes the design a step further with an injection-molded handle made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The exceptionally lightweight, one-piece handle features a high-strength Bi-Directional TextureTM pattern for a secure grip, a sturdy back lock mechanism, and a reversible lanyard clip for discreet carry on either side of the body. Standard Dragonfly 2 models feature fully flat-ground blades made of VG-10 stainless steel. They proudly feature the fully accessible Trademark Round HoleTM, allowing for easy one-handed opening with either hand, and are supported by a sturdy back-lock mechanism, ensuring that the design is fully ambidextrous. The Dragonfly 2 is available with a solid black or orange handle, as well as a unique green Zome finish. Zome (pronounced “zoh-may”) is a Japanese craft that focuses on dyeing textiles. Inspired by this rich artistic heritage, Spyderco’s Zome knives are shaped in a light base color and then individually hand-dyed by skilled Japanese artisans. Using a technique reminiscent of traditional brush dyeing (hiki-zome), various colors of dye are applied by hand to the handle to create distinctive, one-of-a-kind patterns.
