The Spyderco Sage 5 Lightweight Salt MagnaCut FRN knife is the most popular member of our unique SageTM series of folding knives. The Sage 5 Lightweight has also proven to be the perfect platform for showcasing the elite properties of high-performance blade steels. In this spirit, the Sage 5 Lightweight Salt boasts a blade made from CPM® MagnaCut®-a revolutionary steel that offers an exceptional balance between edge retention, strength, and exceptional corrosion resistance-all of which we demand from our Salt® series knives. The fully flat-ground PlainEdgeTM blade is secured by a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism, housed in a lightweight, open-handled design with scales made of glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (FRN). Molded in high-visibility yellow, the scales feature a Two-Way TextureTM for a secure, non-slip grip and a reversible wire pocket clip. Like all folding knives in the Salt series, the clip, spacers, and all handle hardware are also made from corrosion-resistant materials.
