The Spyderco Tenacious R.I.L. Disarray knife is designed to offer all the signature features of the Spyderco CLIPIT® design in an affordable format. Recently, this best-selling design has evolved to include higher-end versions featuring high-quality materials and improved performance. The Tenacious R.I.L. DisarrayTM Finish elevates the design, featuring solid titanium scales on the handle, a high-strength Reeve Integral LockTM (R.I.L., also known as a “frame lock”) mechanism, a D2 tool steel blade, and a stunning “Disarray” finish on the handle scales. This patented thermal anodizing process is applied individually to each solid titanium plate to produce a breathtaking, unique color pattern. The beautifully polished scales of this knife provide the structure for its robust R.I.L. mechanism, which is meticulously machined and incorporates a stainless steel insert. The insert ensures long-lasting steel-to-steel interaction for the lock and serves as an over-extension stop to maintain the lock spring’s tension over time.
