The Vosteed Parallel Knife Super Slim is inspired by the book “Parallel Universes and the Deep Laws of the Cosmos.” The ultra-thin Vosteed Parallel is the latest design featuring the Cross Bar lock. The ultra-thin blade design, with an impressive handle thickness of 7.1 mm, is an engineering feat we set out to achieve. Weighing just 65 g with a blade length of 74 mm, the Parallel is the most pocket-friendly knife in its class. As shown by the Chandra X-ray Observatory, titanium is formed by supernova explosions. To ensure that the Vosteed Parallel remains true to its inspiration, we used precision CNC machining to craft its handle from Grade 5 titanium. The material and exceptional machining have created a perfect balance between strength, thickness, and tolerance. 154CM is a widely recognized and beloved knife steel. Originally developed as bearing steel for gas turbine engines, 154CM steel offers a superb combination of hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and durability. Legendary knife maker Bob Loveless used and popularized 154CM steel in the knife world. The Vosteed Parallel features a 154CM blade with a thickness of 2 mm, ensuring an exceptional cutting and carving experience. As Brian Green said: “A skyscraper is merely the physical realization of the information contained in the architect’s design.” A well-designed knife is a distillation of ideas and information. To make the knife truly comfortable for both left- and right-handed users, we incorporated the time-tested Cross Bar locking system and combined it with a double pin. To create an elegant and contemporary design, we eliminated unnecessary lines and curves, opting for a minimalist wire clip. To ensure versatility and practicality, we chose a reverse tanto blade shape and added a clean, triangular lanyard hole.
