The Cold Steel THAI MACHETE is the culmination of more than 4 years of development and refinement. Like the Thai swords that inspired it, our machete is beautifully balanced, with a sharp cutting edge and a pointed tip. Although most commonly used in pairs when practicing traditional Thai martial arts, these long, curved blades are surprisingly versatile. They’re light enough to be swung with one hand, but have a handle long enough to be used with both hands for added leverage and cutting power. The wide blade and curved cutting edge of Thai machetes make them excellent for cutting through brush. They effortlessly cut through grass, vines, and light foliage. Its fully sharpened blade is made from the same durable 65MN steel with a black, anti-corrosive matte finish as the other blades in our incredibly popular machete line. The sturdy polypropylene handle features a flattened oval grip that won’t twist or spin in your hand, and the steel-reinforced guard offers additional hand protection. The Thai machete comes complete with a Cor-Ex sheath for carrying and storage.
