The Hultafors DVARDALA 700 g Axe is the ideal axe for hunting and life in the woods. It has the same hybrid head as the Åby forest axe. It combines the features of several different types of axes, making it ideal for a day in the woods where you may need to tackle a wide range of challenges. The short handle is slightly thicker and more curved, with a slightly larger thickening at the end compared to our other premium axes. The length of the handle makes it easy to carry, for example in a backpack, while also making it easier to work with the axe when holding it close to your body. It is suitable for precision work, such as carving or building shelters, crafting fire stands, and other activities related to hunting and forest life. The axe is named after Dvardala, an old name for the forest area north of Hults Bruk. That is where the Kolmårdern forest begins, known for its abundant game. Like all Hultafors axes, the Dvardala is hand-forged and made from Swedish recycled carbon steel with a carbon-neutral footprint. The handle is made of hickory (American walnut) treated with Swedish linseed oil. The axe’s leather sheath is made in Sweden from certified Swedish leather.
