The Helikon-tex “Get some!” T-shirt is a classic cotton T-shirt that references the iconic scene from Stanley Kubrick’s equally iconic 1987 film “Full Metal Jacket” from 1987, in which Sergeant Hartman fires from a helicopter while shouting, “Get some!” The distinctive T-shirt shape evolved in the early 20th century from earlier undergarments (known as a union suit). After World War II, T-shaped cotton T-shirts became very popular, partly thanks to Marlon Brando and James Dean, who wore them on screen.
