The Opinel No. 7 knife is a product of the French company Opinel, which has a 120-year history of knife manufacturing. The Opinel No. 7 features an 8-cm stainless steel blade with a rounded tip, and its handle is made of polished and lacquered beech wood. This knife features the Viroblock system, which locks the blade in both the open and folded positions to ensure safety during use or storage. In 1985, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London selected Opinel as part of an exhibition honoring the “100 Most Beautiful Products in the World,” alongside the Porsche 911 and the Rolex watch-a profound recognition of the quality of Opinel products.
