The CIVIVI Buster FG knife is a modern pocket knife with an impressive geometric design and a “wharncliffe” blade. The Buster FG’s elegant, angular profile is extremely sturdy. With a blade length of 10.7 cm, it’s particularly well-suited for demanding cutting tasks. This is no compact knife! When closed, it measures 13.9 cm in length and weighs 180 g. You use your thumb to open this pocket knife. It’s easy to do with one hand. The knife is equipped with a Superlock. You might be thinking: what a pretentious name. However, it’s a fitting name, since this locking mechanism is truly super! Super easy to use and super sturdy. What more could you want? The blade is made of German Nitro-V steel. This is stainless steel that’s easy to sharpen. Nitro-V is also quite durable and holds its sharpness well. The blade has a black coating. To achieve this finish, the blade is first coated, then tumbled in a drum with abrasives. This makes the blade look as if it’s been on the market for a while, sort of like a pair of worn-in jeans. A major advantage is that signs of wear will be much less noticeable. The handle of this Civivi Buster is made of micarta and is 13.9 cm long. Micarta is a wonderful material for pocket knife handles. This material is pleasant to the touch, relatively lightweight, and looks very attractive. It consists of textile fibers and synthetic resin. The resulting layers often even make the micarta look like wood. However, it is a very stable and durable material.
